Rabbanit Yafit Clymer

Rabbanit Yafit Clymer was born in Jerusalem and has worked in Jewish education - both formal and informal - all her life. She is the Rabbanit of the Midreshet Amit girls' high school  in Modiin, and she also serves as Co-Director of Rikmah, the YCT Beit Midrash for Rabbinic Leadership in Israel. Rabbanit Clymer received her BA from Hebrew University and her MA from Haifa University, and spent five years studying full time at the Beit Midrash of Matan in Jerusalem. She is currently studying in the Bar Ilan University Jewish Philosophy department for her doctorate. She continues to lecture at the various Matan campuses including Matan Hasharon, Modiin, and Hashmonaim. She gives brief weekly insights into the Daf Yomi for the Hadran website called On Second Thought.

Rabbanit Clymer is on the steering committee of the Beit Hillel rabbinic organization and is involved with its Meshivat Nafesh initiative, bringing women’s scholarship to modern questions of Jewish Law and Thought. She and her husband Gershon have spent time on shlichut in the Washington DC area, and they now live in Modiin with their five children.
