Rabbi Josh Poyurs
Josh holds a master’s degree in clinical and research psychology, which he applies to his understanding of the Torah, people, and life itself from a human perspective. He has also completed advanced Halachic studies in the laws of Jewish marriage.
Josh is the Vice Head: Kodesh & Ethos at Yeshiva College in Johannesburg, where he teaches and leads strategic initiatives. Prior to this, Josh worked in project management, specialising in the intersection of business and psychology. Josh is also an active volunteer within his local synagogue community.
In 2025, Rabbi Poyurs was selected to join cohort three of the Sacks Scholars.
