Rabbi Matti Laufer is the Executive Director of Yeshivat Siach Yitzchak, a Hesder Yeshiva in Efrat, and the co-founder and Director of Camp Re'im in Gush Etzion, a summer programme dedicated to instilling simcha and Jewish pride in young people. For six years he served as rabbi and Dean of Judaic Studies at the Gonenim School in Jerusalem. After making aliyah from Teaneck, New Jersey in 2003, he received semicha from Ohr Torah Stone and earned his MEd from Herzog College. He is currently preparing to begin doctoral studies in Jewish thought at the Jonathan Sacks Institute at Bar Ilan University.

Since October 2023, Rabbi Laufer has served nearly 700 days of miluim in the IDF Rabbinate's Identification and Burial Unit.
