Dr. Ray Levi

Dr. Ray Levi has served as director of the Day School Leadership Training Institute (DSLTI) for the past nine years after being a mentor with the program since its inception. He has overseen this cohort-based program that prepares new and aspiring heads of school for Jewish day schools. He is now continuing to offer coaching and workshops for senior professional and lay leaders through Kol-Lev Consulting. His coaching serves a broad cross-section of the Jewish community. He has developed and facilitated programs and retreats for day school and synagogue boards and for board chairs and heads of schools. Dr. Levi also serves as an Adjunct Professor at the Davidson School teaching Organizational and School Leadership.
Previously, Dr. Levi served as head of school at the Amos and Celia Heilicher Minneapolis Jewish Day School in Minnesota and the Agnon School (currently the Mandel Jewish Day School) in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Levi also served as a consultant in the field at such organizations as PEJE and the School-University Partnership at Yeshiva University. He is a past chair of the board of the Center for Spiritual and Ethical Leadership (CSEE) and has served on educational and synagogue boards.
Dr. Levi holds a Ph.D. from Case Western Reserve University, an M.A. from Claremont Graduate University, and an A.B. from Oberlin College. He also studied at the Melton Centre of Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
