Rabbi Alex Chapper is the Senior Rabbi of Borehamwood and Elstree Synagogue (BES), the largest Modern Orthodox community in Europe, and serves as School Rabbi at Yavneh College. He has over 20 years of experience in the rabbinate, with previous posts at Ilford Federation Synagogue, Reading Hebrew Congregation, and Hammersmith Synagogue.
Rabbi Chapper studied at LSJS, Yeshivot Mir and Darchei Noam in Israel, and is known for pioneering informal Jewish education programs such as SpeedLearning. He produces a daily podcast, DHL (Daily Halachah Live), and regularly engages with schools and the wider community.
Rabbi Chapper is also involved in interfaith work and serves as a Justice of the Peace. He lives in London with his wife, Eva, and they have five sons.
