Rabbi Alex Israel

Rabbi Alex Israel is a Jewish thought leader and and international speaker. He teaches at Midreshet Lindenbaum and at Yeshivat Eretz Hatzvi and publishes a daily podcast - "The Tanakh Podcast" on Spotify. Rabbi Israel works for the Rabbi Sacks Legacy as a faculty and mentor for the "Sacks Scholars", and supervising and administrating several Israel-based projects.

Rabbi Israel has published two books of biblical scholarship: "I Kings - Torn on Two" (Maggid/Koren, 2013) and "II Kings - In a Whirlwind" (Maggid Books, 2019).

Rabbi Israel holds degrees from the London School of Economics, The London Institute of Education and Bar Ilan University and received his rabbinic ordination from the Israel Chief Rabbinate. Rabbi Israel has worked with the Rabbi Sacks Legacy on education resources, learning events, and leadership programmes. He is also a qualified Mediator.
