Chayei Sarah contains three key narratives. The first, the death of Sarah, which leads to Abraham’s purchase of a burial plot for her. This portion of land bears particular importance as it is the very first part of the Holy Land to ever be legally owned by the people of the covenant.
Second, Abraham entrusts his servant to go on a quest for find the right wife for his son Isaac, the first Jewish child; and finally then we come to the last period of Abraham’s life, and his death.
