Rabbi Sam Thurgood is Head of Jewish Life and Learning at United Herzlia Schools in Cape Town, having spent over two decades working in Jewish education. He studied for seven years at the Yeshivah Gedolah of Johannesburg under Rabbi Azriel Goldfein zt"l, and holds an MA in Jewish Education from Middlesex University. He served for ten years as Rabbi of Beit Midrash Morasha before moving into educational leadership.
