Reuven Leigh, an affiliated Lecturer at the Faculty of Divinity at the University of Cambridge, is also the director of Chabad of Cambridge.

Raised in Ilford, he studied at yeshivot in Manchester and Montreal before embarking on a rabbinic internship in New Haven, Connecticut. He and his wife, Rochel, established the first Chabad House in Cambridge, an intellectually open environment that attracts Jewish students keen to integrate their academic and communal interests.

Reuven holds a Master’s and PhD from the University of Cambridge, with his first book, “The Philosophy of Rabbi Shalom Ber Schneersohn: Language, Gender and Mysticism,” recently published by Bloomsbury.
