Jonathan Levy
Jonathan Levy grew up in north east London. In 2001 he received a grant from the Office of the Chief Rabbi to study in yeshiva and subsequently he spent two years in Israel and the United States. Upon returning to the UK he studied Mathematics at University College London and then, while training to become an accountant, he served as United Synagogue Youth Director in Chigwell & Hainault Synagogue for four years. He and his family made aliyah in 2017.
Following Rabbi Sacks’ death, he began a weekly shiur in Hebrew for his community, learning Rabbi Sacks’ Torah on the parsha. He also established a full Rabbi Sacks library in Hebrew/English in the Beit Knesset.
