Rabbi Dr Dov Lerner
Rabbi Dr. Dov Lerner is Rabbi of the Young Israel of Jamaica Estates and on the faculty of Yeshiva University’s Straus Center for Torah and Western Thought, where he has taught a range of undergraduate courses, including on Maimonides' philosophy, Dante's Inferno, Milton's Paradise Lost, Malbim's biblical exegesis, and Rabbi Sacks' intellectual legacy.
He received a BA from Yeshiva College in English Literature, semicha from Yeshiva University’s RIETS, an MA in Religion, and a PhD in the History of Judaism, both from the Divinity School at the University of Chicago. Dov lives in Queens, New York, with his wife, Miriam, and their two daughters.
