Gideon Sylvester

Rabbi Gideon Sylvester served as one of Rabbi Sacks' community rabbis in England developing his community into the fastest growing Orthodox synagogue in the UK. Rabbi Sacks wrote of him, "Gideon's love of learning and sharp intellect, coupled with infectious enthusiasm and an ability to relate to everyone he encounters has enabled him to make an enormous contribution not only to the Radlett community, but also to Anglo Jewry as a whole".

Since moving to Israel, Gideon has worked in the Office of the Prime minister of Israel, ran programmes on the Torah's approach to Human Rights, taught classes in Jerusalem, Britain, and Scandinavia and contributed to various publications. He is currently preparing to be scholar in residence for a Jerusalem synagogue's cruise to the Greek islands.
