Cards and Conversation
Letters to the Next Generation Edition

Cards and Conversation is designed to spark meaningful conversations, inspired by the wisdom of Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks zt”l. Each one pairs a thought-provoking question with a teaching from Rabbi Sacks, offering accessible insights into identity, responsibility, morality, and purpose.
Whether you're an educator, parent, student, or youth leader, the cards invite you to explore Jewish thought in a way that’s engaging and relevant. Judaism is a religion of dialogue and questioning – and these cards are a simple way to bring that spirit into classrooms, youth groups, Shabbat tables, or moments of quiet reflection.
These cards can be used:
- In the classroom: Promote discussion, creative writing, or values-based learning.
- With youth groups: Try speed conversations, storytelling, or real-life dilemmas.
- At home: Use around the Shabbat table, for parent-child learning, or weekly challenges.
- For personal growth: Journal, set goals, or reflect on a card’s message during quiet moments.
This Lesson Plan is a suggested approach for educators, in order to utilise the cards with a group of students.
Cards and Conversation is currently available to educators and youth leaders. We hope to make it more widely available in the future. To request a set, please complete the form below.
