Sefer Torah
“The holiest object in Judaism is a Sefer Torah, a scroll of the law. Still written today as it was thousands of years ago, by hand with a quill on parchment, it symbolises some of Judaism’s deepest beliefs: that God is to be found in words, that these words are to be found in the Torah, and that they form the basis of the covenant – the bond of love – between God and the Jewish people.”
