Bar-Ilan University Conference on the Influence of Rabbi Sacks

The Rabbi Sacks Legacy and Bar-Ilan University will host a three-day international conference dedicated to Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks.

Academics from around the world will convene in Ramat Gan from 17–19 January 2023 to discuss the ideas and influence of Rabbi Sacks. The sessions – primarily in English – will focus on Rabbi Sacks’ messages on the ethics of responsibility, Orthodoxy in modernity, religious leadership and his vision for Israel and the Jewish people.

All are welcome to join in-person or via the livestream.

Organised by Bar-Ilan University's Departments of Jewish Philosophy and Political Studies, and The Rabbi Sacks Legacy, the conference is titled “Rabbi, Professor, Lord: The Ideas and Influence of Jonathan Sacks” and is sponsored by the Jewish News. The event will feature greetings from Israeli President Isaac Herzog, Lady Elaine Sacks, and Rabbi Sacks’ younger brother, Eliot Sacks.
