Sophie Glastein
Trustee on the US Board
Sophie Glastein was raised in London, attending Marble Arch Synagogue where she and her family were privileged to have a uniquely close relationship with Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks.
Inspired by Rabbi Sacks, as well as her family’s legacy of contributing to Anglo-Jewry, Sophie strives to positively impact the Jewish community in both the UK and the US. She currently serves as the President of the Parent Teacher Association of the Yeshiva of South Shore, in Hewlett, New York, a position she has held since 2019. Sophie holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Diploma in Law from BPP
University in England.
Sophie currently resides in Woodmere, New York, with her husband Ian and their four children.
