Torah V’Chochmah Launches in Australia and Asia

Following the success of its North American pilot, Torah V’Chochmah – a teacher training and curriculum development programme inspired by the thought of Rabbi Sacks – has now launched in Australia and Asia.
Torah V’Chochmah brings together outstanding Jewish educators from ten schools across Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, and Hong Kong. This inaugural cohort will spend the coming year learning from Rabbi Sacks’ teachings alongside other classical and contemporary sources, while working collaboratively to develop innovative, school-specific Jewish studies curricula.
The name “Torah V’Chochmah” is derived from Rabbi Sacks’ belief that Jewish leaders should study both Torah (sacred texts) and Chochmah (worldly wisdom). The programme embodies this approach, connecting timeless Jewish ideas with the challenges and questions of today, and empowering educators to bring those ideas into the classroom in engaging, meaningful ways.
It includes interactive learning seminars, mentorship from leading educators and curriculum designers, and a focus on translating rich Jewish content into impactful classroom experiences. Each school is supported in developing new content tailored to their community, ensuring that the ideas of Rabbi Sacks continue to inspire students across diverse settings.
The expansion of Torah V’Chochmah to Australia and Asia marks a significant step forward in the global effort to deepen Jewish learning and leadership through the lens of Rabbi Sacks’ thought.
