The Sacks Conversation 2023

The Rabbi Sacks Legacy hosted this event at Carnegie Hall in New York to honour the life and impact of Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks, thus marking the third anniversary of Rabbi Sacks' passing. The interfaith panel was led by Cardinal Timothy Dolan, Imam Abdullah Antepli, and Rabbi Dr. Meir Soloveichik. Chaired by Yale President Dr. Peter Salovey, the panel explored the theme of “To Heal a Fractured World”, which became particularly poignant in the wake of the devastating terrorist attacks on Israel on October 7, 2023.

Key contributions included Shari Redstone’s impactful keynote, Rabbi Dr. Ari Berman’s convocation, prayers for Israel led by Shimon Craimer, and Gila Sacks (daughter of Rabbi Sacks) sharing the closing words of hope.
